"Oh my god! Ahhh! Nooo, I'm too young to dieee!!!" You sighed gently as your best friend, Alfred F. Jones paced anxiously back and forth across your [colour] livingroom carpet, walking back and forth as if he was actually trying to leave a permanant mark in the thick fabric.

"Alfred, calm down! We're not going to die!" You chuckled good-naturedly, giving the panicked American a gentle look. He had been freaking out for almost an hour now, pacing across your carpet and mumbling dramatically about not wanting to die, how much life he still had ahead of him, and how he still had so many burgers left to eat. Why? Because he believed that the world would be ending on December twenty-first; about four days from now.

"Really Alfred, they said the same thing in May, didn't they? And we're still here right?" You tried again to calm your friend, attempting to reason with the thick-headed blonde.

"Yeah, but that was just some random dude with some sorta sciency mumbo-jumbo. This time they actually have real prof!" You sweatdropped at this statement, though decided against lecturing him at the moment. At least he had responded this time.

"You mean the Mayan calender?"

"Yeah! It just totally stopped on the twenty-first, for reals! Why else would it stop unless it's..." Alfred paused dramatically, swallowing and looking straight into your [e/c] optics with his widened blue ones.

"The end." You couldn't help but scoff lightly at this, giving Alfred a look that was most easily interpreted as; 'really?'

"Oh come on Alfred; the only reason that calender ended is because they all died." You said flatly, crossing your arms over your chest.

"Yeah! And that's what's going to happen to us!"

"Oh Alfred come on!" Your patience was beginning to run this, your demenor no longer as gentle as it had previously been. Your impatience only grew as Alfred began to go through all his regrets, acting as if he thought the world was ending now, rather than after ninty-six hours.

"And I never even got to tell you that I love you!" Alfred went on, though instantly froze after realising what had just slipped from his vocals. His face turned an adorable shade of pink, and his eyes averted away from your frozen form, off to the side.

"Y-you... wh-what did you just say?" Your voice became very small, face beginning to burn a flaming crimson. Did he just say that he loved you? No, there was no way... was there?

"N-nothing!" Alfred said more loudly than he meant to, hoping that maybe you hadn't heard him. He really doubted that you felt the same way. He was always loud, and he knew he annoyed you, because you were constantly scolding him.

"N-no, tell me!" You insisted, managing to look at Alfred though your red face continued to climb into brighter hues.

Alfred met your eyes for a brief moment before looking down bashfully, staring at his shoes with particular interest. He knew just by the look in your shining [e/c] eyes that he wasn't getting out of this.

"I-I said... I love you... " Alfred managed, last words barely coming out as a forced whisper. Somehow you managed to cath them though, your face darkening a bit.

"R-really?" The words forced their way passed your lips without mental concent, and you inwardly cursed how childishly hopeful they made you sound. You saw Alfred give the slightest of nods, staring down at the floor, looking completely dejected. Slowly you forced yourself to move, gingerly wrapping your thin, [skin tone] arms around his broad shoulders.

"I love you too..." You mumbled into Alfred's bomber jacket, face dominated by a blush that was enough to put even a Spanish a tomato to shame. You felt Alfred's body stiffen slightly, as if shocked before he spoke.

"Wait... seriously?" You nodded against Alfred's solid torso, too embaassed to speak.

"Aw man, dude that's so awesome!" Alfred seemed to turn back to his normal self, enveloping you in a bone-crushing hug, allowing your feet to rise up off of the ground.

"A-alfred, I cant breathe!" You didn't want him to let you go, but that didn't make air any less important for your survival.

"Ah, sorry!" Alfred instantly allowed your dangeling feet to toutch the ground once again, though he kept his arms around your slim waist - however, he was much more gentle this time.

"So... does this mean that you're my girlfriend now?" Alfred asked, again showing his irristable adorable shyer side. You couldn't help but chuckle lightly at him, giving a large smile.

"Yes."

"Haha, woo!" Alfred smiled again, cheering lightly and you rolled your eyes at his excitement, though felt your cheeks go pink, and a smile tug at your lips.

A few happy, comfortably quiet moments passed before Alfred finally spoke up again, voice laced with cheery optimism.

"Well... at least something good came out of the end of the world!"

...

"Dammit Alfred, the world is NOT ending!"
I dunno what to think of this... but it was fun to write.

Well, as per my usual, the ending is kind of awful. I've been getting better at endings, but I didn't plan mine out at all in advance, so it just kinda came out like this. I hope you like it, though.

I also would really appreciate it if you could leave a comment. :) Thank you for reading this, anyway! :D

XD This is adorable. I forgot how much I love Hetalia~!

Also, um, hope you don't mind me being a nerd (I work at a museum now) but that whole Mayan calendar thing? Just a bunch of baloney. Hell, the Aztec calendar isn't even really that stone disc thing they show you on the History channel. That's actually a sacrificial plate they used to sacrifice their POWs to their god so he could use their blood to lift the sun. Its all weird but fascinating at the same time! I'msosorryforbeingaknowitall I only just recently learned this and I've been telling it to everyone. Pleaseforgiveme!

Also....my dad's birthday is Dec. 21st. 0.0
